MIA Brunch Bar is a cute and cozy midtown spot offering a delicious variety of sweet and savoury brunch dishes, cocktails, and an evening menu. Its charming and welcoming atmosphere makes it the perfect place for casual dates and relaxed meals.

In addition to the lovely indoor seating, they also have a beautiful patio in the back for outdoor dining, decorated with string lights and an adorable cat mural. To me, this patio is truly one of the best spots to enjoy a meal during the warm seasons.

MIA's brunch menu offers both savoury and sweet options, but they're especially known for their sweet dishes, like the pancakes and French toast. We got the French toast, and it was undoubtedly one of the best I'd ever had. The outside was crunchy with a cinnamon crust, while the inside was soft and warm. It paired wonderfully with fluffy whipped cream and fresh berries. The plating was stunning as well.

We also wanted to try some of their savoury options. The Salmon Lox Bagel came as a huge portion and with a side of refreshing greens. The avocado was perfectly ripe, the salmon smoked to perfection, and the cream cheese added some nice seasoning. It was a big too big to eat all in one bite, though, so I had to take it apart and enjoy it in separate pieces.

We also got a classic breakfast dish, the Good Morning plate. It came with sunny side eggs cooked exactly as we requested, tasty potato wedges, crispy bacon, bread slices of your choice, and a mini fruit bowl. This was a solid dish, no complaints.
Pricing: The total of the three dishes came down to around $78 (including tax), with each plate costing between $22-25. I think this price is well worth it based on the generous portions and pleasant environment.
Overall, this was a lovely dining experience with delicious food. One of my favourite things about this restaurant is the back patio, so I’d highly recommend asking for outdoor seating if you visit during the summer. It’s the perfect spot for a brunch date with a friend, a small gathering, or casual celebrations like birthdays. The relaxed vibe makes it great for easy conversation, too.
Dish of the Day: Crunchy French Toast (it tastes even better than it looks!)
